Here I am again. It's 3am. I got home at midnight from working for a little at a coffee shop. I decided to give myself a little phone break. As you might guess, I'm still on my phone almost three hours later. I saw an article on fb of shopping apps you "need". So I downloaded a few of them and have spent a long time browsing designer fashion labels. If I was extremely wealthy, I could buy an outfit that costs more than my yearly college tuition. Well tomorrow I have one final exam. A 50 min handwritten essay about a scene from Jane Austen's Persuasion. At the coffee shop I merely researched the plot for a while because I haven't read a word of the novel. I hope it's not obvious in my writing that haven't read it. I think I have a good idea of it, enough to formulate a few solid points. I was just thinking though, maybe I should write a letter to my professor. To thank him for this semester. I really enjoy romantic literature. The fact that I'm enduring hardships in my life right at this juncture and taking this class simultaneously is simply an unfortunate coincidence. I want my professor to know that I do appreciate this class and my lack of attendance and effort was not due to disinterest. I want all of my past/present/future educators to know that about me. Sometimes I'm just like a car with no fuel. I have the ability to work and metaphorically "go places," but I can't because I lack motivation and energy. All the necessary ingredients are there save for one, which is arguably the most important: an impetus.
