Today I was going through my closet and found a box shoved in the back. Inside I found a journal that I used as an ongoing letter to my ex in the months following our breakup. Wow...the pain he put me through. The way he treated me. I couldn't see it until now, two years later, but I didn't deserve it. Sometimes it takes years before you really can understand how messed up a relationship was. The sad part is now I'm afraid I'll fall for a guy like that again. The fear that another guy could control me like that again is overwhelming.
