Today is the first day of this journal. I woke up & had a great cup of coffee, went to work & about the day as I usually do. My beautiful friend Sarah came in & visited before she flew back to L.A. Im so proud of how far shes come. She is such a go getter. I wish she lived back in MI but just like all of us Michigan folks do, she'll be back eventually. Abby got a haircut too, she always acts like a maniac for a few hours after. Detroit had also flooded & its been crazy watching the news. Almost every main freeway is shut down & people have left their cars abandoned all over.
