Today was the funeral for Joe Levy who was Avery's father and Kym's husband. We've known the family for years starting way back when our kids attended Tutor Time in Woodland Hills. They were just babies back then. Now our kids are in Jr. High School in 6th grade. How time has flown by. While at the funeral thoughts would come into my mind of the journey Avery will be on and those thoughts we all get when a parent has passed away, "I wish they were here to see this or hear this and do this with me", I have moments that I crave my own mothers style of affection and her sense of humor with a unique personality. Memories are great at times, but nothing is like having that special person present in your life's events.
