Oh, wow, it was/is Navy Bean Soup Day!!! I went out last night and got the peeled white onion [yes the QFC store sells pre-peeled big onions; how cool is that?] and little peeled carrots and baby Yukon gold potatoes. This morning early She made Navy Bean soup after soaking the beans overnight. The bag says the beans don't need to be soaked overnight. THE BAG LIES!!! Unless you want beans as crispy as Doritos, you have to soak them; two hours of cooking won't cut it. Anyway, the soup was great. I took Jiali to Marta's for his grooming and he came back looking wonderful. A very good day!
