I have been battling my internal pressure to send a Hatful & Anonymous text to him. It's been 3 years since he broke my Heart and I still hold onto Anger. I still want to berate him for the Destruction he caused in my life. Will it make me feel better? NO. On the contrary, I will feel worse. I want him to feel My Pain in hopes that it will relieve my own; a notion highly illogical; and yet, a notion I believe will solve the problem. Not so. Today I will stay strong and resist the Temptation of Anger. My heart is broken for the Dallas Police Department and their families. My heart is broken for the African American community who, in 2016, still live under an umbrella of fear because of the color of their skin. Disgraceful. Shame on us who condone hate, bigotry, racism, and discrimination. By doing nothing more than observing these atrocities, we are more apart of the problem than innocent. We must throw off the veil that blinds us from the path forward. I am equally guilty. Posting to the world my sadness concerning the suffering of others, and then going about my day as if I have done my duty to ease the problem. Please! What Have I done to actually help?! What have we done?! We must be better than this. I must be better. - H
