I visited Ann-Elise's classroom today. I came home so overwhelmed and with a migraine. The kids in her class are so needy, and I honestly don't know what it would have been like if I hadn't been there today. Throughout the day, I wiped snotty noses, held crying kids, stopped kids from pushing or hitting, praised kids for doing puzzles & using manners, took toys out of one kid's mouth repeatedly, and clapped & sang songs. The three nonverbal kids in the class require SO MUCH attention! And the highest functioning kid is SO wild and non-compliant. I came away really questioning if this is the right place for her. Jerry & I have a lot of thinking to do. 😣
