I just installed this app again! I last wrote here around this time two years ago. It's insane how much I've changed since then! A lot of my problems have resolved on their own. If anyone is reading this and wondering about that, it does happen! Sometimes you hurt a lot and then time passes without you noticing, and you look up and everything is better. It just happens! I'm going into my senior year of college. Still don't know how to drive though 😅 it's scary shit!! I'm moving into the dorm in a month! I got on medication for anxiety, but it really just got better gradually, not so much the meds (they aren't that strong lol). I think I got better at learning how to handle it. My relationship with my parents is much better, too. It didn't happen all at once, but started when I really began growing up and gained confidence in myself. The things they say don't really hurt me anymore, and I stand up for myself when they treat me wrong. It's made for a much healthier relationship with mutual respect. Oh also, I'm like mad gay. Well, I'd say pansexual. It's wild how just two years ago I thought I was just a really good ally to the LGBT community!! Just reading those few memories that I put on here, I can't believe how immature I was. I think I was struggling so much just with all my feelings, and how I should feel about those feelings! It's just mind blowing to think about. I'm still very much the same in some respects, though! I still procrastinate and squeak by in school sometimes, but come to find out, it's because I have ADHD! Technically the inattentive subtype. It's hard to notice when you're good in school and a relatively quiet girl. Sophie is good, she's 12 now and is blind in both eyes. She has diabetes and glaucoma, but is being treated and seems like she feels great! Hannah is good, she's back in Seattle and it seems like she loves it! We're not as close as we used to be, but that's okay. Life goes on. I'm not close with Madalyn anymore, but I still consider her a friend. I'll be graduating in less than a year with a degree in psychology, and I plan to do some kind of international work! Sometimes you just gotta branch out and leave home, and I plan to do just that. I want to see more of the world, see how it really is and get to know the people out there. It won't be perfect and lovely and I know that, but it's still stuff that I want to see. I'm truly looking forward to the future. Still haven't been in a relationship yet but it'll happen. No more suicidal thoughts. No more self harm. There are still days where I can't find motivation and want to cry, and sometimes I do cry. But now I know how to handle it, and I can tell what's happening in my own head. It's getting better. This is super long and I don't think anyone would possibly read it, but if someone is, hey thanks! I hope you're having a nice day. Also, I just put a picture on this post!! It's of a pie that I made a few months ago! I made the recipe and everything myself. Well, I didn't make the crust, but whatever. It's a lemon cream pie with raspberry purée marbled into the top! I took the picture with my new DSLR camera, doesn't it look fucking incredible??? Life is good, man, life is good :)
