My son I have just recently become aware of is not addicted to drugs or sex. In fact nothing in that manor, thank goodness! He is though addicted to electronically operated devices for the immediate stimulated over whelming sensory feeling which has him so one tracked minded- it's actually, nauseating to watch him try and manipulate, debate and negotiate his way to getting his way. Does he try to when his father is present? Of course not, just when I am in ear shot. I am seriously aware of my inability to not engage when he and I have come to the cross roads. I am not talented or firm enough to withstand the persistent badgering from my son especially if it's directed straight towards me. I have to come up with an executable plan that will stop him in his tracks and allow me to have the situation handles and ball in my court for a chance!!!!
