Dear person who wrote, “I need Thee, Oh I need you, every hour I need Thee...” ah, the struggles we have to go through. They SUCKS A** every time. Sometimes it’s easier because we feel close to God, and other times (most of the time, honestly) it’s exhausting and frustrating and everything seems hopeless. We wonder, “where are you, God? Were you ever here?” I know it doesn’t seem like it (oh, believe me, I do), but God is nearer than we think, feel, or could ever imagine. You are going to be okay. God never puts us into situations without a purpose, especially bad ones. But no matter what, even if you don’t feel like it, you are His child, He sent His son to die for y o u. He will never leave your side, even if it feels like He is worlds away. Remember, the badness of our situation doesn’t change the goodness of our God. He will always be there as a shoulder to cry on, someone to vent to, someone to help you out when times get tough. He is not bound to our fears or doubts, He is everlasting and forever-loving. Try having an honest, raw, open conversation with Him. Have something luxurious near/around you (a nice candle, a warm blanket, calm and peaceful lighting, etc) to make your time talking to Him more personal. Leave your doubts at the door and realize that God is so much bigger than we could ever imagine. And if all else fails, let yourself be overcome with whatever you’re feeling, because even though it might be scary and uncomfortable, God is with you through it all, even when you don’t feel His presence or His love in your heart. He’s there. He hears. He knows and He loves you. 💕
