I’m realizing as you get older, life has less cinematic moments. Looking back, my twenties were full of them. I was sometimes aware when I was inside one of those moments, but a lot of times I wasn’t. I miss them so much—so much so that I feel like a can’t breathe sometimes. I hate that I miss those times that much. Life was full of potential and possibilities, and we were all infinite (to reference a book/movie). I guess it’s just part of that whole thing about life losing a lot of the whimsy and magic as you age. You have to make your own movie moments, and they don’t just happen spontaneously anymore, but it’s so goddamn hard to do that, and I’m tired.
