as I was leaving, Jared was resting his head on Catherine’s new super rare Spider-Man squishmallow, just like Tony said he would. Catherine seemed so grateful that I was there, and it made me sheepish. I am so grateful for how the air cleared and suddenly I was thankful, when I stepped out onto that lawn to go celebrate the birthday of a friend I’ve had for almost a decade now. 25 feels bittersweet. I’m a “youngie” as Tracey says, and I’m 24. Hardly young in my eyes, but that’s the nostalg-lies talking. God brought us laughter. God brought Anthony Meg. Formed the love that wraps around little Anthony. Makes this little house a home for Lindsey and Luke and Jared and many more. Jared snuggles Anthony for a sec, he’s his genuine uncle now. I yell for my own catharsis, “you guys are marriedddd”. Catherine doesn’t think it’ll sink in. My marriage hasn’t either. But we need to believe that that is okay.
