Had to put Pappy down to rest today. It was so heart wrenching. Our little girl hardly weighed anything (four pounds). I held her and felt her body relax as she got the sedative. Then the doctor gave her the anesthesia. Her little heart stopped, but her eyes were open, so beautifully. Her tail was fluffy and I smelled it and felt it against my face, like I had done so many times in the past. So soft. Sweet, sweet baby. My heart is broken, and I'll never forget you. When I went to feed Toulouse tonight I looked for you. I looked down at Toulouse and you weren't there. Your eyes didn't look up at me like they had just hours earlier. I love you Pappy. I wish I could have you back.
