we went on a date and realized that I should maybe write down the things I do/jokes I make that make you laugh, that you crave re-remembering, just so we can both remember how rich our life is //// the mind-boggling experience of the man selling concerns t-shirts IN THE FREEWAY EXIT onto Shaw Ave… it was hilarious to Steph how in shock I was at the man boldly waving t-shirts at car windows in the -middle lane-. When the light turned green and we started slowly moving he started running after a potential buyer’s car. Which then stopped just short of the intersection. At which point I laid onto the horn. Bc we had a dance concert to go to. Steph hadn’t seen me so passionate or bemused. It took him an entire dance concert and dinner and drinks to process it apparently, as he breathlessly snickered between chuckle attacks on the drive home. I realized what made it so funny to ME was that the sight was the most normal thing in the world to Stephen, that was what was absurd. I felt like an uptight white Clovis traffic idealist mom.
