finished all my work today. got an 100 on my ap gov quiz. fixed up the jeans in my painting and danced around the room. i felt pretty. this morning i found three pink bumps in a line across my cheek, raised and irritated. i’m the worst constellation. but then, i can find the rhythm. imagining just once what it would be like to be looked at. my hairs in a clip up. i wanna see, i wanna see. paint fumes making me giddy. i don’t act like this, but i know i’ve got to. i know no one is here.
