Driving back and forth today more than I have in two and half years. Strange. I almost felt normal again. The juxtaposition of Christmas music, sunny skies, and temps in the mid 70s makes me slip into a liminal space. I’m getting more impatient for the drop in temperature this weekend. I’m afraid it’ll somehow disappear last minute and not show up. If I could feel that blast of cold air on my skin again, maybe I’d wake up—if only for a little while.
